we were sleeping - apartment in the middle of epidavros port. strong vibrations (the apartment is on stilts) with a few cupboards and drawers opening, and windows rattling. lots of the neighbours also got up. it was a beautiful sunrise and the sea seems a little more choppy than usual this morning.

It felt so unusually strong that I woke up right away despite being exhausted from work yesterday. In fact, I was so disturbed that I stood under the doorway with a covering on my head in case anything fell on me.

Everything in my room was swaying regularly but not too violently although I had a distinct impression that it was increasing for a tiny bit.

Was definitely a bit of a rush!

Before feeling the earthquake I first heard a noise like the one made by a heavy truck passing, a deep vibratory sound, which was what got my attention from the first place as our location is not urban and there are no trucks passing by. Immediately after that there was the swaying of the quake and the noise made sense.

Duration was alarming. During the first shake i thought it would be just another small earthquake, but it got a bit rougher and when the second consecutive shake came I got off my chair in case it gets stronger. It lasted about 15 seconds, pretty long for an earthquake.

Was in the toilet delivering a powerful turd when I returned to my bed the ground began moving back and forth. I have lived next to a highway all my life and felt the ground shaking from big trucks so when the room shook  in this village I knew it was a quake. Light back and forth movement for about 15 seconds
