Witness location : Fairbanks (USA) (332 km N from epicenter)
Time : T0+ 8181 min
At 09:53 Alaska daylight Time, I was laying on a sleeping bag in my second floor apartment living room in downtown Fairbanks Alaska. (Location GPS@64°50'00"N 147°44'00"W (487.2ft) contemplating the days events. The quake began as an event rising in time and not a sudden jolt. There were two movements within the quake period of about 10 to 15 seconds. At the onset of the quake there was a gentle shaking (X-axis) which changed to a rolling sensation like being on a boat in gentle surf. (Appearing on the Z and X axis of movement.). Over all, I would say the quake was pleasant, as it was not unlike a vibrating lounge chair, or a vibrating hospital therapy bed, set on low frequency; very gentle and not at all startling.
