We were outside, and heard a roar, then a pheasant shot up and started shouting, the kids, who were asleep in bed were awakened by the beds shaking, came down to ask what was going on. They had experienced a previous earthquake in July 2014 and immediately thought this was also a quake. We confirmed it. Waiting for a possible after shock, but unlikely we'll notice it. My Husband, by the way, who's lived all his life in Jersey, says he's never experienced one before, still is not sure it was an earthquake, but I was sure as soon as I heard the noise, and the shake that that was what it was.
