I was sitting down with my head down and reading when I felt sideways movements and I thought I was having a sudden and unexpected dizzy spell - so funny!  It stopped and then there was a second swaying feeling then nothing.  I had to confirm with my children that the house really did sway and that maybe we had just felt an earth tremor.  So exciting!  But the tricky dizzy feeling is pretty shocking for just a 2.8 - wouldn't like to experience the "real thing"!

For us, we were sitting on the couch and initially it felt like an extremely strong wind gust had hit the house (a similar noise where the house creaks and groans) but when it happened 3 times or so in a matter of about 5 seconds, it certainly felt like 'waves' with the house moving sideways.
