Woke us up. Must have been rumbling for some time. Felt as though a massive lorry/plane was right next to the house shaking it in it entirety. At no point did we think to leave the house. We assumed it was a plane/thunder until I checked a local FB site where I realised people had felt it km's away. It was our first experience of an earthquake.

It made the whole house rumble. In all seriousness I thought the Kariba Dam had broken and it was a torrent of water rushing towards the south east of Lusaka. Scary stuff!! It didn't last very long but it sure made me sit to attention.
